 Our Week

MONDAY

This was the arrivement day. German students came at 13:00h and met with Spanish students. After that, we ate lunch and went to Campo Del Moro with some of the others where we saw a peacock and many trees. Then, we went dancing to Ana´s academy and later we had dinner.

ANA: I was nervous that day because German students were coming; I enjoyed a lot what we did because the place where we went was really pretty and the weather in the afternoon wasn´t too cold.

FREYA: I was really exited to meet the others again and had much fun that day. The places we visited were very pretty and all in all it was a really nice day.

TUESDAY

On Tuesday we did some school work and then went to Madrid de los Austrias and saw the Real Palace, the Almudena Cathedral , Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor… The weather was rainy and a bit cold. In the afternoon we went to eat churros with chocolate and then went to a shopping centre called Príncipe Pío and then had dinner at home. We also played that night a board game with the family called Dixit.

ANA: As the day was cold it felt good having hot chocolate with the churros and then being indoors. We went through the shops and had fun there with the others too.

FREYA: We saw a lot of places on Tuesday and even though the weather wasn’t really good everything was pretty. Still it was great to be indoors later because we didn’t feel that cold anymore.

WEDNESDAY

This day we went to Toledo where we so its Cathedral, the oldest building there… We went home at 17:30h and then went to Plaza Río 2, a big shopping centre where we ate ice cream and bought some things in the shops.

ANA: This was a really touristic day and I enjoyed a lot being in Toledo because I think it is a really nice and pretty town. I bought some marzipan which is typical there. In the afternoon I liked a lot being in Plaza Río 2 because I had never being there before.

FREYA: Visiting Toledo was really nice and I enjoyed it really much. Luckily the weather was much better than the days before. Also going to the shopping centre in the afternoon was so much fun.

THURSDAY

We went to the Prado Museum and saw a little bit of the centre of Madrid. In the museum we spent an hour and a half seeing different pictures of artists such as Velázquez, Rubens…

In the afternoon we went to the bowling alley and had dinner in Angus, a restaurant near it.

ANA: This day was really nice to me because I like art and it had being a long time since I didn´t go to the Prado museum. In the bowling alley I spent a good time too with all the others and had a great dinner.

FREYA: I enjoyed that day because the paintings in the museum were looking really great. Also bowling in the afternoon was nice, especially because we went there all together.

FRIDAY

At first we went to the Tifológico museum where the artworks where made for people who couldn´t see them so we were allowed to touch them. Later we went to the San Lorenzo de El Escorial palace where we learned about the history of it. At night we had a party thrown by the school in which we ate and danced a lot.

ANA: I liked a lot this day because I think the places we went to where really beautiful and creative. The party was also great because we were all together , took many pictures and had fun.

FREYA: It was a really exciting day because we did so many different things. The activities in the morning were really interesting and the party at school was much fun.

SATURDAY

This day we went to La Adrada, in Ávila where my village is (Ana´s one) and visited the castle there. Then we had lunch there and after went to the Cuevas Del Águila , a really interesting place . Finally we had dinner with Ana´s grandparents who cooked a barbecue for all of us.

ANA: This day was great because we spent the day with my family and visted very interesting places, I think it was really enjoyable. Having barbecue with my grandparents was nice too and playing many games there was it too.

FREYA: It was a nice day and I had much fun visiting all the different places.

SUNDAY

We went to the theme park and went in a lot of rides. At night we had dinner at home with Ana´s grandparent and auntie.

ANA: It was a exciting day because we went on many rides and had dinner with my family so I enjoyed it a lot.

FREYA: It was a great day and I was really happy to spend the last day in nice way with having much fun.
